Friday, May 12, 2017 Mr. Robert Harbin Ledbetter, Sr., age 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, after an extended illness. He was at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Rome on September 24, 1935, son of the late Allison Woodville Ledbetter, Sr. and Rosa Harbin Ledbetter. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Allison W. Ledbetter, Jr.
Bob was a graduate of Culver Summer School, Darlington School, and Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1958. Following his graduation he proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga.
