City committee likes Ledbetter plan for Riverside Parkway

Friday, September 16, 2016, An amended memorandum of understanding between Ledbetter Properties and the city of Rome for a redevelopment plan on Riverside Parkway will go before the full City Commission for a vote on Sept. 26.

Ledbetter Properties received a unanimous vote of support from the city Redevelopment Committee on Thursday for plans to convert 71.76 acres into a permanent conservation easement and using an additional 7.89 acres for a strip shopping center. Some 2.24 acres will remain with the city.
